Announcing "My Stuff"

In version 2, no more begging for database additions! (I know it sometimes feels like it…)

You can add your unlisted items yourself. Not just the kind we already have (CD, vinyl, DVD…), but any kind you feel like collecting. Magazines, T-shirts, books, memorabilia… you name it!

And when you add something that belongs to the discography section, we'll review and transfer it.

Twitter users can now follow mcollections for site and database updates. At first, these will be manual, but I plan on posting automated updates of the database from version 2.

FAQ: What Will Happen to My Existing Account?

Your existing account on version 1 will be transfered to version 2. So will all your collection items.

Once the new site is up, you can use your current username and password to log in. All you will have to do is tweak the new account options.

New Collector Features

Here are a few of the new and improved collector features you will find in version 2:

• Add multiple copies of the same item to your collection (ideal for spares and alternate stickers)
  
• Improved seller manager
• Receipt manager (store your scanned receipts to keep better track of your purchases)
• Export your collection as an Excel-friendly CSV file
  

Announcing MadonnaCollections.net Version 2

Dear collectors,

Some of you know I've been working on version 2 of the site for ages. I still can't say when it will be up, but it is taking shape now.

Version 1 had too many flaws and was too hard to maintain. I had to re-program from scratch and do a little database re-modelling too.

Version 2 will do more and look better!!!

I'll be posting feature previews here just to keep you yearning (and to keep me motivated), and I'll also try and keep you posted about what is still happening to version 1.
